If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
Although I don't really have much time for Dink Chats right now, I tried both the Java Chat and the IRC chat, and it would seem that both are dead. 
(I was able to connect on the IRC chat, but I got tons of weird messages, and there was nobody besides me, not even a moderator.)
