Well rp64, I live in Ontario, which is technically in the middle of the west (BC, AL, SASK, and MAN) and the east (NS, NB, PEI, NFLD) as PQ does not count. You said (somewhere) you lived in the west...therefore, the smell would travel, across Ontario, and as Ontario is famous for it's different cultures and whatnot, we do have quite a few farmers outside the town where I live. Hence the smell.
