Reply to Re: What P-2-P program do you use?
If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
P2P is just like any other internet communication method, be it http, ftp, newsgroups, e-mail, or gopher. It can be used for legal or illegal activities. For example, I've shared the freeware version of Dink Smallwood via P2P before, which is perfectly legal.
Before Napster et al, you could just use Altavista to search for sites hosting MP3s. P2P just makes the process easier, as the RIAA can't just complain to an ISP hosting illegal files.
Edit: although, re-reading scratcher's post, he doesn't posit a convincing argument. So... we shouldn't buy games, because they are expensive, and the developers only make them to make money? Well gaw darn, we better all quit are jobs and steal what the other 'un produces, because most of us only work to make money.
