The media did not create this problem, though it is certainly true they have rather heavily responded to everyone's justifiable concern about it. Heck, even "Fox News" ( the unofficial Orange Monster State Media ) is taking it seriously now. Then there are the external state actors that are making things worse by deliberately spreading misinformation. Sigh...
they did. without them, this would've been treated like any other yearly virus before it where people get sick, then they either get better or they don't depending on if they're old/feeble. it's absolutely disgusting how media over inflated this. in fact, not only is this a yearly ordeal, there have been much more severe cases that didn't end up causing global hysteria to the point that shops are unable to keep stock. this time, they really took advantage of it. i bet they're rolling in cash right now. and the politicians must love it too, being able to further their scumbag campaigns.
