The problem with your logic @slipdink is that why should we roll over and let dink rot away slowly? We should make sure that for at least in the future dink should be available , to anyone.

Pretty strange you are asking skurn to leave because he feels this way ? i think you should take it else where there is happy sunshine everywhere , flowers blooming and a website where you can pester everyone in their threads asking about their dmod updates everyday. We choose to see the reality.

Now, I do not OPPOSE the efforts to move Dink to another platform and/or to modernize it. I just think that such efforts will not work out and are therefore not worth the time to pursue them. But, go ahead and prove me wrong. If Dink is "released on Steam" or some other platform or if Dink's combat system is improved, or somehow Dink supports 3D (better than the current isometric projection method of simulating 3D) then I will applaud as loudly as any of us here on the DN, especially if (somehow) the old dmods and resources continue to be supported.
