That picture is a proud moment in the Tal family legacy and hangs above the Tal remembrance fireplace where photos of his grandfathers and great grandfathers proudly stand in military jackets as braves soldiers who didn't choose to fight but still stood bravely. That photo sits besides an image of Great Nana Tal from a 1940s newspaper cutout where she stopped a bank robber by stabbing him in the hands with a wooden sewing needle. That image of Tal sits between images of brother and sister Tal who were each awarded with Nobel Peace Prizes on their work with DNA strands and how their discoveries will influence the scientific community for 100s of years to come. After putting up this picture of Tal on that mantle Tal Dad went and removed his own because he felt his own achievement of being the first to discover intelligent life outside of this solar system wasn't good enough to sit up there next to Tal. His own image to forever remind the family that he, and only he, has conquered his schizophrenia.
