supposedly, the end game was rushed for release. so the ancients and seth are tacked on at the last second or something.
going by how dmods portray ancients, they seem to just be a sort of god-like being that mostly died out long ago. maybe they're gods, mayve they're just super powerful and were worshiped as gods because of it. who knows. the true answer is the Ancients are the developers of the original game, probably.
dink dad fought in the goblin war didn't he? also something about a special bloodline that can kill ancients. this is pretty much why we need a sequel or sumpthin.
