Nope, can't say that's every happened to me before. Though, there was one time where my headphones actually exploded. Luckily my ears were blown clean off so I was able to put them on ice and the surgeons at the nearest hospital were able to reattach them. There somehow ended up being no scarring or loss of hearing. The doctor's said it was the most amazing thing they had ever seen. My thing is essentially the same as your thing right?
