If you think heat is the issue here, maybe get some more cooling options for it? I can assure you that a proper cooled SSD won't lose any data. Even a hot one will still last several years.

Why did you get a SSD for files and stuff? The SSD storage capacity is smaller than an HDD and an SSD costs a lot more per GB in comparison. A 2TB SSD is way out of budget for everyone but a 2TB HDD is very affordable.

My current setup on the computer I'm on now is a 110GB Intel SSD for the OS and appdata, documents etc. a 250GB Samsung one SSD only for games and a 1TB HDD for files.
