I think I got what you mean. It happens to me while I'm awake. I get goose bumps and shit when it happens... I think it's a symptom of Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
If it's a symptom, then perhaps that's what's doing in. When you mean awake, do you mean just like generally awake and doing shit and it happens at random, because that's not me then. But then maybe it is and it's just a bit different.
