That game would probably be a whole lot better on proper platforms. Onscreen buttons are terrible. No tactile feedback which I hadn't really thought of until someone threw that term out there, awkward hand placement, blocking your view...
As far as selling out goes, no. He has not done that. He appears really caught up in sales and profit, but I haven't seen anything on just flatout selling out to some shitty company. More like, selling out to money if that's even a thing.
