Speaking of which, Get off your fat ass and play some real sports or something is not an argument at all. What if one can, doesn't want to, or prefers simulated sports?
That's pretty close to the Jack Thompson "Video games inspire people to murder" crap. Or Jesus Freak where he says "after a while, we want something a little more violent" when talking about Grand Theft Auto.
I will agree that some games are pure horse crap propaganda and I can see it somewhat influencing some idiots - Battlefield, Call of Duty, which are literally nothing more than jacking off the US military - but none of them truly influence people to do bad. It's not like we were all peaceful and shit until we got access to some lines and boxes on a TV screen we can move with strange dials.
