There's a lot about the Therian community that I haven't even begun to talk about, (Not going to start now unless someone asks,) and 'Theri' is a term generally used in Therian communities.
And why should you? Why should you talk about it outside the therian community? I really see no point to that, unless you are trying to convert people.
And let me make it clear, I see no problem if somebody creates a therian thread, and you participate in it. I think it would be great if you found a friend by someone being therian and also a Dinker. I see no problem either if somebody brings the subject up first or is genuinely interested in the subject, and you talk to that person about it. Or if somebody insulted you about being a therian and you felt the need to defend yourself. Heck, I don't even see a problem if you created your own thread about it, because at least then you'd be upfront about it.
It's just that you constantly bring it up in non-related discussions and seem to use every opportunity to come with these clever ways to almost "market" the therian community and you belonging in it. I'm sorry if saying that insults you, but it seriously does feel that way.
