Coherent means punctuation, sentence structure, good storytelling. While you have a basic ability to tell a story, you keep it incoherent by often going off on a separate line of thought. When I write, I don't set up an epic moment, then suddenly interrupt it with random thoughts of cupcakes and ponies. It ruins both suspense and readability. Now, if it were a satirical story where the 'villain' not only sucks at his job, but is completely clueless (Example: Kyran from the Emergency Exit webcomic (Old canon)), then them going off on a tangent about cupcakes and ponies may yield amusing results. As I was reading the story you were posting here, I noticed that it often jumped from this place...

Over to this place....

And over to this place.

and then suddenly, cupcakes.

You cannot tell a good story if you are incoherent. You cannot tell a coherent story if you do not focus.
If you can tell me a good story, then you will need punctuation, sentence structure, and coherency.
