I wasn't exactly comparing you and Predator. But you can't deny there have been some great improvements on this site over the years.
What I'm saying is, this is the exact worst moment to constantly flame him, annoy him, pick on him and threaten him with ban. If we keep doing this, it will guarantee he won't even try to improve, cause we're showing him that we aren't grateful.
And closing his threads constantly and deleting his posts are also a tad bit stupid. The rules don't state anywhere that you can't post as many threads about a subject of your liking as you want. All they state is that "Posting off-topic or general discussion threads that go unanswered or are met with tepid or negative responses usually means the community is either uninterested or annoyed". It does not state anywhere that you cannot do this, even if we are annoyed or uninterested. Besides, there are people who are not uninterested in his threads.

The rules state "We have a fair number of people here with strong opinions, so occasional disputes are expected. If you can get through them without taking them personally, you'll do just fine".
