CC3 is the follow up to CC2. It is expected because it's a trilogy, I think we can vindicate Sabre from that one. Also he said if he would be working on something now, CC3 work was started a long time ago.
I agree with Sabre that I wouldn't like to announce a DMOD too early. Paninga was possibly announced too early, but I wanted to give Christiaan's upcoming DMODs thread a kick start at the time. Also I still think it'll probably be finished some time.
Also, how long a DMOD takes depends on a lot of things. Most importantly the level of quality and the amount of time per week spend on DMODing.
