NeverWinter Dink Dev. Thread
After getting fed up with the Dink Smallwood engine (and significant hair loss) I decided to port Dink over to NWN in the form of a mod.
At the time of writing I have nearly finished the village of Stonebrook.
Any suggestions or advice would be great.

It looks cool, but I still think, that Dink should ONLY stay in the old good 2D style.

Dude, first of: yes that IS what I think, and secondly: I look way MORE uglier than that. Oh, you wouldn't believe me...

That would probably make it a little easier, so sure.
So is this going to be recreating the original Dink story alone here, or will you work on adding Mystery Island, or any other good D-mods to the conversion?

Way cool, I've tried to port abandoned D-mod ideas to NWN, but not Dink itself.
Terris would be the ideal spot to teleport to, as it is central to a lot in the game.

Arik was converting Cloud Castle into NWN some time back, but it never really went anywhere.

I might do mystery island (robots???) or a very popular romp/short quest (lynas story/isle of croth anybody?) along with a few tweaks in the original (items, shops, small side quests) but nothing so major as to change it from being dink.
Quite a few of the Golem models work exceedingly well for robots.
You could always change it so you're able to use other non-dink-original monsters in it though, Dink needs his training partners. He needz zem... Hehehe
