milder flatstomp

I have downloaded dink 1.08 and have tried to play following the walkthrough.I have scattered the pig feed & waited & waited but milder flatstomp fails to appear. I have tried several ways and spoken to everyone in the village including cheslea & sent the duck home etc revisted mother several times but she just keeps asking me to feed the pigs. Am I missing something incredibly basic ?

I have scattered the feed inside the pen milder doesn't show, have gone back to talk to mother who keeps telling me to feed the pigs, have even tried scattering pig feed from outside in , even carried on and killed the pigs with feed talked to everyone at least twice keep checking back with mother & always tells me to feed the pigs never asks for nuts. Have tried for days to get this game to work, but am about to give up
don't give up. you wouldn't know what you're missing. download dink again and try if it works then.
have uninstalled & re=installed twice from 2 different sites have also tried 1.06 version & the same thing happened also on my previous xp laptop this is a new vista laptop & no matter what I try Milder doesn't appear. I had a similar problem with Laxius force when it first came out & it turned out to be a problem with my Norton security, I will have a tinker later, it's got me beat &very frustrated because I'd read very good things about this game
Very strange. Does Dink say anything when you scatter the feed inside the pen?
Go to C:\Program Files\Dink Smallwood\dink\Story and check if there's a file there called "s1-bul". If not, then, well, there should be.
Probably your security as you mentioned. Try turning it off while you install.

Thanks everyone I have finally suceeded. It may have been Norturity all along. I turned it off on my old laptop, re-downloaded Dink 1.08 onto a usb flash drive. Installed on my new laptop with Norton turned off and hey presto am up and playing. Now do I really need th i.08 patch ?????

If you have v1.08 then you don't need the patch, that's only to upgrade from earlier versions.
