Re: PC controller
I'm considering getting a controller for my computer to play emulator games more easily. I'd use it for playing GameBoy, Nes, SNes, and N64. I may also use it for UT3.
I have no experience with PC controllers. Are there any good brands or types of controllers I should be looking at? I'm pretty sure I want it cordless, but other than that I don't know all the extra features and such.

I believe you are asking the wrong forum, if you want people with good knowledge about this, then ask on EmuTalk.Net.

PS2 (PS3?) controllers work awesomely for at least SNES, N64, Playstation and Gameboy games, and probably most other types of console games too. Don't really know about pure PC controllers, but a Playstation controller clone will probably do as well.

I know PS3 controllers are USB and therefore, should work with a PC
I added the question mark to "PS3?" because Sony might have added security (or just not release a driver) so you can't... But even so, there's probably someone who made a driver to make it work anyway.
I've got this one and it's really good. Works great with Halo
I don't know about any cordless ones, but Saitek and Logitech are good brands. Mine (Saitek) comes with a program that allows you to set it up as a virtual keyboard and mouse, so you can use it with games that don't support gamepads.

Yeah, that was my thinking as well.
I might just have to get that one. I like the 6 buttons on the face, I think that would play Killer Instinct Gold well. I can't seem to find it locally though.
I have two controllers. Two of them are in PS controller style with Turbo and Macro. Mostly i use it on Mugen or other fighting games. Sometimes i play Dink Smallwood or Doom.

I meant like visiting BestBuy or Walmart
