Re: Ice Hockey
Who's watching the world championships?
Finland just won USA on overtime for the second time in this tournament, making it to the semifinals. None of the top teams have really impressed me with their play, it's been more interesting seeing the underdogs being able to play against the big countries more than excepted. Norway, for example, was pretty good.

Ooh, I like Ice Hockey. It's violent. But, no, I don't have any way to watch it, anyway.
Since when are Scandinavian nations considered underdogs in a winter sport?
nope not watching hockey. actually as i live in Hawaii i saw a guy with a hockey ball cap on the other day and was like wtf? but then i noticed he looked a bit dodgy and figured he got it at the salvation army or something. we dont watch hockey much here. its like people dont get super stoked on the winter olymics. it all just looks really cold. however i did watch part of a surfing tournament televised from tahiti yesterday. it was pretty cool.... or warm.... i will though point out that we do get snow. usually a few feet on top of Mauna Kea. its freaking cold up there.
Norway has never really been a big player in the hockey leagues, so for Norway to kick ass is somewhat special. Also, if you want to be exact, Finland isn't actually part of Scandinavia.
I'm aware of that, but it's less dorky than saying "Scandavia plus Finland" even though they're in the same region.
Canada is going to win and it's called HOCKEY! (geeze ice hockey....
)

Ice hockey is played on ice, that's why it's ice hockey, dammit. Leaving ice out could refer to a number of different sports, floor hockey, street hockey... table hockey. =)
Now Canada might have a good chance to win, but it's going to be interesting. I don't know who your desired opponents are, but Finland will either get a chance at sweet retribution or a match against Sweden, which is always nice.

and biscuit hockey. my first job age 16 worked at kentucky fried chicken. those awesome biscuits come frozen. take a couple of push brooms you got sticks. some trash cans you got goals. and as the food is fried the floor is a bit slickery. voila you got the amazing game of biscuit hockey. played by underpaid fast food chefs the world over.
Once and awhile we Canadians let other countries win the Gold, especially since we are so tired of beating the Russians, so this year we let them take home the Gold.
