The Dink Network

Okay, I feel really stupid as I have looked back to post from 2005, and no one has had this problem it seems. The "hills" in the game - surrounded by rocks, some with enemies on them that attack me if I get too close - how do I get up on them? I played this once before, several years ago, and it seems like I could then. I have walked around every screen trying to walk up them, and cannot find a way. Bought the Herb boots, thinking that would get me up there, but no. Am I racking my brains trying to figure out how to do something that cannot actually be done? Thanks for any help.

Sweety, most of them are not meant to be stood upon by Dink. For the most part, they are just there for eye candy.

Now, I do know that there is a certain way to activate cheats, and I'm sure there's one which allows for Dink to stand on a cliff/hill that has no entrance, but I have yet to learn about it myself. In fact, I have yet to learn about how to work cheats, let alone that specific cheat. just my little .02.

There's usually some ramp or gap in them where you can walk up and down. Sometimes it's partly hidden behind a tree or the hills make a kind of maze so it can be confusing at times. Sometimes there is no way up, or maybe a secret passage.

But no, there's no way to get straight up the ledges. Just keep searching

I wonder if when I played before it was another version of Dink because I know I got up there...I just can't remember how. Maybe it was a glitch. I have been behind every tree & bush this time around because I figured if there are monsters there, there must be something up there. Especially if they can attack me .

You get up there when you get to the end of the game. You need to speak with the King, who tells you about Milder who has gone on a mission, but not returned. Then he lets you go as well. You'll be allowed to enter a cave entrance at the bottom of the hills near the stream. Then you'll be at the top of those hills.

I don't mean the cliffs at the north end of the game/map, I mean the large areas of land that you cannot get up on between Stonebrook & Terris, and there is another one between Terris & Kernsin. Really large areas of land. Trees, bushes, pillbugs, all surrounded by about an inch of rock that makes it appear to me to be a "hill". Seems like you should be able to walk up it - there are many spots that look open to do so.

The few small hills near Stonebrook actually are unpassable. You won't find anything interesting if you get there, anyway, so no worries.
