I want to make my own graphics but what is the best program to take? It need to be free because things like photoshop are to expensive.

oke I like blender but what one to download zip archive or installer i have windows xp professional but both say it's possible

Olde Time Dinkere 
If you're stuck even downloading the program, Blender is not for you. It's a 3D modeling program which requires you to learn quite a lot in a short time.

The guy with the cute D-Mod. 
Often an .exe file is smaller, therefore better to download.

I recommend Anim8or. It's fairly easy to use, and it's very efficient.

Daniel, there are clowns. 
Both are good, depending on what you want to do. Anim8or is much more intuitive and easy to learn, while Blender is generally more powerful.

Picking the zip or the installer depends on if you want the program to be portable more easy. Pick the zip if you want to keep the program on an external hard disk or memory stick. Otherwise, pick the executable.
