graphics trouble
in the dmod that i am making, i deleted all the graphics that i am now using, but when i go back into dinkedit, they are still there? if i put the graphics that the dinkeditor sees (which i deleted) into the dmod, andf then distribute it, will the dmod still work for people? i have practically the most messed up computer in the world, scientists are are trying to figure out what makes it tick!

: in the dmod that i am making, i deleted all the graphics that i am now using,

ok... i figured this out now (wow, looks like nobody in the DN likes me and wants to answer my questions/posts/stupid remarks lol)
apparently when a dmod does not find the graphics in the graphics folder, then it reverts to the graphics in the dink directory! which now makes me wonder why a lot of dmods contain all those graphics which people already have in their dink directory, so people only need to add their new graphics! *its beatiful*

Yes, this is an important point. The same is true for script (c or d) files, tiles and pretty much everything but save games and the map itself. As for why someone would include graphics from the original game, either they modified them slightly or they never figured out what just just did.

If you do not want/do not know how to adjust dink.ini, but you've got some modified graphics that aren't on numeric order (you've modified only *-10.bmp), you would have to include the originals otherwise the modified ones wouldn't show.
Hmmm... and it's easier I guess.

yah. I do it that way
Though I'm replacing almost *all* original graphics at the moment!

good, good.. send them over

good, good.. send them over

ill send them over as soon as i get them fixed, the major problem is that they are 3d models, so they get thinners as they go farther back, but i think ijust need to render the graphics in a different perspective, when i made the graphics, i figured i just needed to model themin a different way, so i deleted them, ill probably have some graphics for you this week
