So I've attempted to take on blender head on. I find that I can make certain objects, I just cannot render them and do the necessary things required to put them in Dink. With my dad's help (he knows lots of carpentry stuff), I've come up with a semi-realistic picnic table. Can anyone help me put it in a bmp format with decent coloring, angle and size?

I object
Hit F12 for rendering.
Hit F10 for some rendersettings (8bit BMP isn't listed if I'm correct...)

I don't know about the angle, but size is a matter of looking to already existing objects and seeing what sizes they have and then setting it under the rendersettings. Oh, and a lot of trial and error probably...

Well I know how to hit F12 and render. I was just trying to avoid that whole trial and error thing

I'm getting annoyed with this. I can't make it look right at all. Is there no one that knows how to work blender well enough to make it look decent?

Go to the render tab (it's indicated by a purple landscape). There you can setup things like resolution and file type (png probably works best here).

To change the angle of the camera, select it and move it around. You can move it around while in camera mode too (press 0 on the numpad), to have some more control over it. Don't forget that you can move around with G, and turn into different angles with F (at least, I think it was F, I haven't been using Blender in a while).

Probably the first time, you won't get it right. Go through the tutorial thoroughly and follow the instructions exactly as mentioned. It took me about 7 to 8 tries to get the hang of Blender. Though I prefer using 3d studio max as it offers more features.

The guy with the cute D-Mod.
You could email Simon Klaebe and ask him. He told me he used Blender to create his graphics for Pilgrim's Quest and Stone Of Balance and all that.
