frame rates in animations question:
Hey,
I'm wanting ot make an animation of a set of double gates opening in blender. I can do the animation part just fine, it's the next bit that I get stuck:
I can take any number of frames from that animation, and render them, convert them to the dink palette, etc. etc. etc. but what frame rate should i be aiming for once they are within dink? is there a hard coded frame rate for all dink animations? (it wouldn't surprise me). Judginf by the number of bmp's in the door animation, the frame rate is not very high at all....
hmmm....
thanks.
The frame rate is determined in the dink.ini. Each sequence has it's own frame rate programmed this way. Not setting a frame rate is a bad idea, as the "default" animates the sequence as fast as your computer will allow (which is insanely fast).
I'm sure you can figure out how to figure out the rate. Just divide the amount of time the animation takes to run in blender by the number of frames you want. Remember, 1000 = 1 second.

The number in quotes is the frame rate.

hang on.... surely 75 frames per second is VERY good quality?? i mean, movies are 25 Fps, DVD's can get up to about 60 i believe.... or is this number the amount of delay BETWEEN frames?? yes... that must be it... i think??
