WDE won't display graphics over 8bit

It's come to my attention that WDE won't display sprites unless they are 8bit. They will get placed and appear during gameplay or in DinkEdit, but not in WDE Not sure if that is something that could be implemented by its creators or not.

EDIT: Yeah, I am using WDE+

Well.. WinDinkEdit was made in the time Dink only supported 8-bit graphics... So yeah, it doesn't support hi-colour graphics.

Maybe something to add in WinDinkEdit Plus?

I downloaded the WDE+ just today and it wouldn't work. I am on Win 2000 though at work, so maybe that has something to do with it.

EDIT: I just tried it on my home machine running XP and it still didn't display the 16 bit graphics. Maybe they need to be 24 or 32 bit...

EDIT: Indeed, when I convert them to 24bit, they display in WDE (both 1.4 Beta 2 and WDE+ ver 1). I guess I can always down-sample them before packaging the mod
