Video Tutorial - hardness editing

Another one, slightly smaller in size - 15 MB in .dmod format.

It is a run through on using WDE to edit hardness, both sprite and tile - going over how I do hardness for houses.

Running time: 12 minutes 42 seconds
Codec: DivX 5.2.1

(Oh, and Redink1: if you could upload this one too ... I'd appreciate it, and maybe I'll do the next one (about setting door warps) in an fake American accent )

Did you compress using a smaller resolution? It isn't noticeable for the most part... but some might be a bit hard to read if you didn't know what it said first (like 'vision' in the status bar).

Couple other notes:

* You can click-and-drag to select multiple hard tiles and set them to their default (delete) all at once.

* Showing how to set the default hardness for a tile would be cool (while in hardness editing mode, select a tile and press 'D' to make the default hardness for that tile be the one that is copied).

I think I may create a video tutorial for the hard.dat rewrite, to show why it's so much better for house hardness.

Whoa, there's even a right-click menu for hardness editing... I didn't remember that. Might be useful to show people how to do it without memorizing keys.

That set to Default is good - I didn't know that one. Hmmm have to revised things...

How do you click and drag to multiple select in Hardness mode? I've tried but can't get that to work.

Yeah, re right click - just discovered that myself - yep definitely have to do a version 1.1 now

Weird, selecting multiple hardness tiles (on the map screen, not the hardness-selection screen) works fine for me, using 1.4 Final (I'm guessing you're using that as well).

I can select multiple tiles in tile mode... not hardness mode... at least not in WDE Final but I could in WDE Beta 2 - but that was running verrrrryyy slowly... ah... I might have to skip that part... in the tutorial update...

Could you perhaps send me WDE 1.4 Final as an email attachment? Since it works better for you an SimonK than 1.4 Beta 2, I'd like to use it myself.
