Font Colours
Can somebody write a table of numbers and font colours like:
1 = yellow (I think)
% = white (and so on)
I would be really grateful.

If you download this, Dukie included a script (or maybe a text file?) that will give you just what you need.
It's in the dinkc.txt file that came with Dink - not to mention a colour version in the Appendix of DinkC v3.2 WinHelp
`1 - Pink
`2 - Dark Green
`3 - Light Blue

`5 - Purple
`6 - Brown
`7 - Light Gray

`# - Rose
`$ - Yellow (default)

`1 - Pink
Is there really a difference between this and the default yellow? I'ven't noticed.
`5 - Purple
*grumble*
`9 - Light Blue
That's the dark one...

Yes there is

Myeah, compared to `3 it's indeed a bit darker but not really the difference between Light and Dark as `7 versus `8

Well, I assure you it is in there. I'm not sure where, but it is there somewhere!

but in one picture from dink goes boating a duc says a script with red text...
I thinnk it uses the edited dink.exe, so maybe it was changed...

You mean like on this screenshot? Those are bitmaps.
Ahh. That makes more sense.
I originally thought he just loaded a modified palette with pure red replacing one of the font colors.

Yep. just actual graphics... I wanted to have red writing and this was the easiest way...
Here, lets make it simple: They look like this.
Notice that 1 and 5 are close, but different. 4 and 6 are a bit hard to tell apart too.

I keep finding it weird that there is no red font colour.
How close they look depends on your monitor, of course.
They're just an all-around wierd mix of colors though. They vaguely follow the ANSI (and therefore L.O.R.D.) colors, which were:
1Blue, 2Green, 3Cyan, 4Red, 5Magenta, 6Brown, 7Light Gray, 8Dark Gray, 9Bright Blue, 0Bright Green, !Bright Cyan, @Pink, #Bright Magenta, $Yellow, %White.
I don't know why Seth didn't stick with those. Not that enough people know Legend of the Red Dragon anymore for it to matter much, but they seem like a better mix of colors anyway.
