some poems
ive been writing poems since like 4th grade after my brother introduced me to the art. i didnt start writing a lot until like 9th grade, and they were pretty horrible. here are some of my favorite poems. (ive tried to include only ones that are slightly less silly than the poem i included with the beginning of anarchy halloween party. i have commedic poems too, but these are all of serious tone)(but that doesnt mean they arent funny).
armageddon has a nosebleed section
staring at the floor
between my toes
counting cracks and
burnt out ciggarettes
the city seems so stagnant
doomed to rot
beneath the changing skies
always on time
these routines felt as cars fly by
another flicker
strikes the pavement
then out of sight
leaving behind
dust to scatter
and blow away
to the corners of the streets
on the ends of concrete
i spend my days
collecting bottles tossed aside
small seconds catching eyes
different colors
but the same look inside
artificially flavored
i watch the cloudless sky
a shade of blue none can duplicate
untouchable
behind closed doors, pulled shades
brick walls
even the grass beneath my feet
is manicured
clipped, trimed, fenced in
concrete
knows no instinct
i hear the chirps of birds
mixed to the songs of gasoline
[bad ass teenagers who feel the need
to slam the pedal to the metal
slam the pedal to the metal]
fluorescent lights
the world i know
and water flows from levers
drain guided rain,
piped back to the factory in which it came
the taste of drywall we call home
where TV screens compete for attention
oscillating wind brings back
that familiar stench
of soapy mildew and tobacco
cellophane delivers
our daily rations
and cellphones -
radiation and distraction
bowls of sugar speed cereal,
coffee and cream, bring us
excitement
wardrobe, haircut, conditioner
skin cancer for a hobby
another
routine
apathy comes with the bottle
styrofoam packaged boredom
growing like a tumor
yesterday is the soundtrack
today
the 24 hour credits
brought to you by huggies
hostess, pepsi, duracell
watch the dancing shapes
no one reads them anyway
athiest anthem
so hold no belief
in far fetched ideals
of divine subsistence
kill the priests
tear every page from the book
and topple every steeple
i see no beauty
in a wrecked machine
no victory out of war
no defeat
what i see
is a dangation in the first place
and fudge are you the one
who's gonna pull us out?
its sinking sand
go ahead and kick
i watch you condemn the church
for one-sided credence
as you close off possibilities
logic is logic
you cannot control your own reality
merely your perception
bulletspray conviction
dont snag your hundred dollar slacks
rusty nails are not your friend
ironed, clean, tidy
dont spill your unpronounceable coffee shoot
hop in the rented car
it looks fancy from the rear
wouldnt want that jerk you passed at 65
to think your ride isnt better than him
self-loving ego shootheads
and sometimes i think i know exactly why
columbine happened
false profit
the glint of gold
lures even the purest of souls
into blazing embers
your gaze distant
24 karat reflection
inferno flickers, flashes
dances accross the dollar
signs in your eyes
you're gone, have yet to feel
the heat;
but already consumed
you can stud your coffin with diamonds
if you wish
and place it deep within a crypt
of the finest expenses
with golden candles lit
fit for the occasion
burning away
to paint the spiderwebs
which entangle the flies
the grandest shade of yellow
inept
see the world through self guided light
drowning in a sea of accusation
everyone has a finger
but you point yours at them all
youre nothing but a partisan
fighting for PC status
to your own demeted degree
that you will never live up to
you see the flaws in others
but not in yourself
youre a howling monkey
with a bad case of arrogance
loosen your scroto knot
why are people so uptight
ma$$es
vapid
meaningless
dishwasher revolution
celery is punk
oreo rebellion
what does it matter?
they prey on the weak
the kids
who dont want to be like them
what does it matter?
a brand name
a soundtrack
you cant buy this rage
this desire
to trash every fudgeing hot topic
we cant escape
but we can strive
to never be the asses
no place on the dance floor
you can build a brick wall all the ding dong day
you can say "violation"
sentence to ten years behind bars
behind the wheel, your chances much worse
too many obstacles
and civilization as we know it has no place on the dance floor
so scream "violation" til yar blue in the face
clench your fist
speeding along like a fudgein freak
your veins pop out, forehead sweats
grind teeth
relaxation is not a technique you practice
and civilization as we know it has no place on the dance floor
perfection
ive wasted my dreams
just a rebel left asking
and you think you know who's in charge
sometimes i'm left guessing
cause your world conforms to rules
of science and of mind
but where lies the control
that brings in the tide
at the end of the day?
what keeps it in check
with such perfection?
it's not your rules
i'll break your rules
realizing your principal masturbates too
hair slicked back, cuffed pants
folded hands, head cocked back
suspenders, and a little mustache
a gleam in your eye
a little smirk, that neck tie
i want to grab hold of
knock you off your stool
and break yo glasses
its 7 o'clock, you have your coffee
its 8, 9 o'clock, you have your coffee
past 10 o'clock and still sippin that coffee
its out of control, stop drinkin the coffee
a little brown book and a ball point pen
you nod and wink, think youre so bad
youre the shoot
and in that little book
your chickenscratch ass handwritting
you think is so smart
makes you look like a tart
cause i know the truth you fool
i know the truth
to freeze, or to burn?
you broke my heart
either too much, or not enough
you left me with nothing
but the memories that haunt me
and the photos that taunt me
you tore me to pieces of pieces of pieces
but i still look at yours and
it makes me taste vomit
time
exuberant like falling rain
into the ocean of my agony
how can i seek comfort in a routine
of such suffering?
the last burst i can bear rings out
into the silent night
its almost tomorrow again
and id rather eat mothballs
than spend it without you
what rules us
your pants are full from a napkin unfolded
seeking status of utmost perfection
so proper
by generations of willing forceful
obeying
influential models, all fakes
(how is that not trite)
node grades self
but root begs to differ
your master plan, your evolution -
a treasure map to thorns,
truth unnoted;
the degree you get is still that of ignorance
when it comes down to it
your rules don't govern the fudgeing oceans
your struggle is bleak, weak -
a mile torn blade will dull to shred,
cert to fade,
not even vapor, in the end
armageddon has a nosebleed section
staring at the floor
between my toes
counting cracks and
burnt out ciggarettes

Hell Yeah
"I see no beauty in a wrecked machine"
Hell Yeah
I want to share too...
Wishing The World Away
I know I shouldn't stay
in my bed all day
alone in the dark,
wishing the world away
Hiding from everyone
and everything
Trying to forget
the faces I've seen
Dreams that I had
have been torn apart
Trust that I gave
only trampled my heart
Safe in shadows
how can I leave
In the frail silence
I only hear my grief
The light outside
only burns my eyes
the uncaring souls
with their cruel lies
***
I Should
I should
think of something else
almost anything would do
to get my mind off you
I should
turn on the tv set
any old show would do
so I'd stop thinking of you
I should
go out for a run
stand out in the rain
let it wash away the pain
I should
try to get to sleep
or go out for coffee
or maybe rent a movie
I should
take my own advice
stop trying to set things right
staying up late at night
I should
talk a whole lot less
stop sharing all my heart
so it won't get torn apart
I should
but I never do
I am just a fool
when it comes to you
***
Tell Me Goodnight
release me
from this raging pain
this spinning spiral
of madness
this thing they call
living on the edge
it's tearing
my soul apart
free me
from the angst of loss
the flooding torrent
of despair
this thing they call
falling in love
is driving me to the brink
of insanity
Bury the past
deeper next time
so it won't rise up
and attack me
zombie memories
full of heartbreak
it's always
the same old story
Someone slip me a pill
I can't seem to get to sleep
Tell me goodnight
Tell me goodnight

Blarg
Blarg is a funny word
it makes me laugh
it reminds me of the muppet show
and that swedish cook
I could never understand
Blargity Blarg
it's even fun to say
rolls off the tongue
and swings through the air
dances its way to my ears
Cats
My cats are so cute
all soft and fluffy
whiskers and fur
big round bellies
full of tuna
perky little ears
little wet noses
and sweet meows

question!
Get Out
empty little space
filling up with dust
see how the cobwebs
cover up the cracks
dark,cold room
silent echoes
bounce off the walls
almost feel the vibes
get out
get out of my house
you're not welcome here
not welcome anymore
smell the mold
where the rain leaked in
feel the draft
crawl across the floor
this dead place
inside my heart
once held love
but now no more
get out
get out of my heart
you're not welcome here
not welcome anymore

Roses are red
Violets are black
why is your chest
as flat as your back
oh that is just horrible
Here is a old Irish riddle, doesn't work well when you type it but it does rhyme...
As I travel to St. Ives
I met a man with seven wives
Each wife had seven sacks
Each sack had seven cats
Each cat had seven kittens
Kits cats sacks and wives
How many were traveling to St. Ives?

Hmm... it's ambiguous. Are you, perchance, a kit? a cat? a sack? a wife? Cause you'd be the only one headed to St. Ives. So, 1 or 0.
On a vaguely related note, I only know the powers of 7 up to 7^4.
7, 49, 343, 2401.

1 is right... powers of seven, come on this is an IRISH riddle...do you thinik they could tasy sober long enough to do math...(disclaimer: This is in no way true and I do not wish to incur the wrath of the Irish mofia)
anyway...last year I helped a friend in his campaign for a school thing and I made his posters, "Roses are red Violets are black, vote for James and be a Mac" another one I rememeber was white and completely blank except for the word james scribbled in the corner... he didn't win...
