Oh crap.
The other day I opened up WDE to edit my DMOD (About 60% done BTW), and there were no map squares. I looked in the folder, and everything seemed normal. Upon further examination, I realized that the dink.dat file was 0 kb! I copied the folder to experiment with, and I tinkered around a bit, but nothing seemed to work. What do I do?
Panic?
Sorry that's not a very helpful comment, but I haven't a clue what could have happened.

Dink.dat *just* stores where the map squares are... if your map.dat is fine, then it should be possible to recover everything.
My map.dat file is normal, so how do I get the new dink.dat to work correctly?
You can't simply replace the dink.dat file unless you had no map squares. My idea is to possibly modify a new dink.dat file to add in blank squares, and then swap the files..?
