Crash problems

WinDinkedit

I wiped my hard drive a few weeks ago; I transferred all my good files to a backup on my other machine.
However, when I try to open something in WinDinkEdit, it crashes mysteriously.
At first, I thought it must be remaining settings (I moved my Dink folder), so I deleted WDE and downloaded it again.
The same thing occured. I repeated the process, same results.
Does anyone know what's wrong?

Not sure. All graphics listed in dink.ini must be there, and sounds listed in start.c. Are all needed files there, in the dmod and original Dink? And a problem I had after a restore was the files properties having 'read only' checked.

Yes, nothing seems to be the problem. I think it's looking in the wrong place for the Dink folder.

Did you move the dinksmallwood.ini file?

Start up Dink (the original game), exit, and then try WDE.

That's a no then. Do what redink said and it will recreate the ini.
