Re: Spelling grammar, etc.
I don't want to sound like a dickfudge, but could some of you take a little more time to make sure your sentences don't look like a bunch of slightly organized sludge? I mean, it's not like you really need to post in 30 seconds, do you? I know, that I too make mistakes and often don't notice them until later, but try to at least get rid of the major ones, please.
I give a flying squirrel crap about spelling and grammar as long as it's easy to see what the writer is trying to say.
Yes, I know, some people have problems el grande with that too.

I'm with Safmoor on this one. Though I sometimes/often make spelling or grammar errors, it really does bug me when somebody posts in a manner such as this...

Surely it doesn't take that much effort to at least stick in a capital letter at the beginning of a sentence?

I think you guys are right. It is annoying...though if I can read it I really dont mind. There are a lot of younger Dinker's here anyway.
The "real" question is why am I the only one to sign my messages with proper etiquette toward the reader?

Hmm... well, thankfully, scratcher thinks only every so often... so our feet wouldn't get too tired.

If you want a better explanation for my signatures see the other thread about "Forumers".

I've taken five years of French. Today, I handed my teacher a short essay, which I'd tried to write without any errors. She found a mistake at least every other sentence. My point is, writing in another language ain't easy. I probably spent twenty-odd minutes writing two paragraphs, and someone from france would struggle to understand what I was saying.
On the other hand, I often have trouble understanding other Americans' French, much more than Frenchmens'. So some effort, especially upon the part of native speakers, might go a long way here.
