Has anyone noticed that they use the "police dispatcher" sound from sim 3 in a lot of movies?

"BETA THIS IS SOUTHBOUND 148 9 OVER"

Something something something 104 North Avenue... is used in almost every movie where you can hear a police dispatch radio in the background. I kid you not. I think I first started noticing it as a sound effect for Extreme Pinball.

I've heard some Dink sounds in tv shows/movies too, I think. But I can't really remember one now.

Bulls sound exactly like boncas. weird coinsidence, eh?

The pillbug "squeel" sound is in one of the GBA Castlevania games. That freaked me out like hell.

Many homemade freeware games, ie.games made with the games factory or game maker have sounds from dink.I've heard the punch sound many times.

Yup, Circle of the Moon... I think that was one of my first posts on the new board here at the DN. Wow, that takes me back.

I also would bet that if you watched enough independently made movies that somewhere in there is a Dink movie...except the names have been changed to avoid copyright infringement!

I have also heard many bullet sounds used in both movies and games.

OMG, I think that the dispatchers in VC say something about north avenue.

I've heard the same laugh sound effect from the Didy Kong Racing title screen in a movie, and one other place.
