My Magical Soundcard

Everyone says that when you ALT-TAB out of Dink, the music won't play on after the current midi stops, but with me, the midi ALWAYS goes on. and on. and on. DO I ROCK OR NO?

However, after some time playing (also if I don't ALT-TAB), the tones of the midis get DEF (false, ugly, not sure if I'm using the right words)
Any way to fix it, or is it just My Magical Soundcard?

I have that kinda magical soundcard on my other computer too. After listening to midis long enogh, they start sounding crappy. As far as I've seen the only thing that helps is to restart the computer.

You could try going to your device manager. turning off the sound card and then turning it back on could save a reboot?

If in WinXP or 2000 go into the task manager running processes area and look for one called SynCor.exe, i find that dink sometimes seems to leave this running even after quitting and that end-procces-ing it will fix my MIDI problems.

SynCor.exe is soundcard-specific (I've seen it used on onboard soundcards for Intel chipsets). I don't even have that file on my computer.
