TeamBG makes mods for those games.
I looked at how those games are made. Complex! The maps make sence, but the scripts are 5 layers deep (sorta)

The poor man that has dial-up (me), cannot download 90 MBs that easily.
Um, what's up with the BG thing?
Min requirements?

Well, I can run BG 1 on my 350mhz, 64mb ram powerhorse, so anything you have, should be okay. And as long as you have a 8x CDRom drive, the install shouldn't take *too* long, but you'd have to do the full install.

I meant minimum requirements for Planeshift. It's 3d and needs 512 MB ram or 256 ram with a good video card. My old machine is 700 mhz P3, 128 ram, and only an Intel 810e vid card. It runs most anything until I get into 3d stuff. Even to run Blender I need to turn down my hardware acceleration on vid settings.
I wouldn't download it yet. They are currently switching the engine that the game is based upon. The version that they have released is a demo in which one can explore some of the areas of the game and trade crystals they colect for items they can use later when the combat, magic, and class systems are implemented under the new engine.
