I've been trying for ages to make Dinkedit work on my computer, which runs Windows XP Home. I've tried compatibility mode, running as normal...

Lava pig to the rescue!
If you have version 1.06 you will pop back to windows, but if you have v1.07 you won't.

You'll probably still encounter the problem where suddenly your mouse disappears while editing. Just ALT-ESC out and back in and you should have full control again.
