I recently got a new computer, since my last one finally died. This means I'm finally using Windows XP (and I'm not sure if that's a good thing yet). And now DinkEdit is causing trouble. I do have Dink v1.7 of course but on certain screens, ones with alot of sprites it seems, it will freeze until I ALT+TAB out of the program and back. I guess I can work around this, but it's awful annoying. Anyone else have this happen?

Paul, I have the exact same problem. That's part of the reason I've learned to work with WDE lately.

It doesn't freeze all that often and it's quickly remedied so I'm not THAT bothered by it. If there is a fix I'd like to know about it though

No, that's not a very good thing. winXP sucks leathercake!

Frankly, I prefer windows 3.1. Too bad nothing new works on it...

Yes, it's like matches... why use them? Rubbing two sticks together has always worked in the past!

well, you know, it's just some cultural groups' preferences. just like cannibals eat humans, european dinkers eat leathercakes.

Like beefcake, only it's more like chuck-roast-cake.

yes... WDE and DE both work for me.. on XP Home with ver 1.07. Just opened up PQ with both and explored a bit... and even at 32 bit I didn't have any really noticable lag time in WDE - although I have a 128 MB graphics card - but a bit of a junior one I believe Radeon 9200...
