D-mods that would rule!
- A randomly generated dungeon. It would have randomly placed enemies, treasure, and random events. Another good feature would be to have infinite levels. (I don't even think it would be possible to make a d-mod like that)
- A d-mod taking place in the modern days! Instead of using swords, and all that cra*, you could use guns, and grenades! Of course, only someone from the non-lazy portion of the dink network could make this type of d-mod.
And, no, I don't have brain damage. I could just see the headlines now: 'HeatOmen
pi**e* off the Dink Network staff members
by posting c*** all over the forum, and by typing stupid messages!'
Oh, and if somebody asks, I didn't post this. It was Seth. (The evil dude with the flat face, not the user)

Actually it's long been my sneaky suspicion that the full Crosslink will have randomly created maps... using a whole series of commands that will make the game completely different for each user.
Special code that will follow an outline, but produce a vast range of possible details... so that while the player(s) have the same overall objective, how they achieve it will be a very individual and personal thing.
Of course I could be wrong

Not only someone from the non-lazy portion of the Dink Network, but the Super Workaholic portion. The reason why most D-Mods are set in the same fantasy-esque world as Dink is because that's what all of the established graphics and scripts are from. To try to make all new graphics, scripts (for grenades, guns), tiles, sounds, etc. to fit with the modern day would be a monumental task, and then there's that pesky task of trying to make it fun. And from what I've seen so far, guns in Dink just aren't much fun.

What the hell are you talking about magic man? Does it take place in modern day or the future and/or have randomly generated dungeons? Or is this a Drahke-esque n00b spam post?
A d-mod taking place in the modern days!
Maybe it's just the heat, but I remember there being a d-mod with guns and terrorists (featuring Osama as the boss)

I do like the random idea. It is practical to have monsters, treasures and conversations randomised. In a way that's just realistic.
Hmmm, I'm meant to be doing graphics for this? Opps... did I miss something? I know I did a save bot thingy, but it was too weird so I released it to the community... but nothing else... I've still got something to do for joshriot, I've done the body, not the head, josh... I'll get around to it soon...

Nobody ever reads blogs and previews.
I read blogs and previews =P

I read everything on this site. I'm hooked bad...

No, no! Random dungeons can be cool, but I hate random events...
