QBasic
Does Xp have qbasic. I've tried usind the command prompt, searching for it, ect., but i can't find it. C'mon, help a brother out.
No. You can get it from an older version of Windows though. (And no, no version of Windows NT has it).
If you've got a 95 or 98 CD I think you'll find it on there in a directory called "Old DOS" or something like that.
Ahh... The memories... What was that worm game called?
Nibbles
And don't forget gorilla, messing with gravity and exploding formula's was FUN

QB = QuickBasic?
QBasic and QuickBasic are slightly different. I used to work in QBasic until I've found QuickBasic somewhere out there.

Yeah, I meant QuickBasic. The only QBasic available is 1.1 - the *interpreter* that comes on the Windows CD. You can't compile programs.
Nibbles and Gorilla?! Those are great
!

Um... QBasic is what I am learning now. SO don't assume it's life is over. It still has a long and straggling life ahead of it as a small town upper level computer science ciriculum.
The lower levels learn really, really, really basic HTML. I mock them, cause you can do funky things with basic. Bloated, but funky. Ain't nothing beat my 2 player SOS game. It had flashing lights and everything!

Qbasic is what they teach at my highschool's beginning business computer programming class, then the second year is java. from what i hear, they do some pretty interesting things with it. too bad i don't have enough electives to do everything i want to do...

Wow, and both languages are crap. Wonderful school you've got there. ('Course I shouldn't be talking...)
I like to make weird programs, but I only have that qbasic from the windows 95 cd, hate it...
and you were talking about 4.5 and 7?

There are these excellent things called search engines. You should try one.
just wondering why you made two posts, because looking in nested view they're right next to each other
