I think 'blog thread bumping' is ok as long as there is a valid reason for that post. A year from now if someone see's one of my blog entries, finds it interesting, and has a question, what is wrong with them posting in it? Blogs are weird animals, but I personally saw nothing wrong with this post. Yes alittle late, but with good intentions.
I see your point WC, and people should be able to bump most blogs witout a fuss.
But a "Hey, I just joined the community" blog? Well... I don't think bumping one of those is very productive.

In case you didn't notice, I was away for a while, and I think that if you have a good reason to bump it (like having a post that actually says something or has good intentions and when you've just missed it)
