What about "D-modding for dummies?"

I am just starting to get into the noble art of making a Dmod. I try to find my way through various documents, FAQs and tutorials, and have posted a few questions here at the board. It seems this board works very well: I get my answers quickly, and it's friendly here. Thank you guys!
But:
I find that there is something I need that is not here (at least I think it's not): A Dmodding for dummies document. SO I WILL TRY TO MAKE ONE, but I need YOUR help through this forum.
This is what I have used so far:
WinDinkedit.
Cedit (its at my computer, but haven't really used it).
The official FAQ (Snyder)
Dmod help (Anders Hovne)
Tutorial 1 (from the game)
And of course I have been looking into the DinkC reference (Shutes).
What I find is that things like the FAQ is very basic. That's good. But then the DinkC reference is very advanced, and it is definately NOT well organised from a newbie readers point of view. And it seems that a lot of things on this site suffers from the fact that it is written by the experienced without having the fact in mind that a lot of the potential dmod newbies don't understand a thing of what it's all about.
What I would like to see is a document that can take a beginnmer from scratch to finishing his or hers first dmod, step by step. It will have to be both very basic, AND very detailed, and that would mean that it would need to be very well written and well organised.
I will try to do this over some time. But I might have to ask you guys "silly" questions, and you need to give me detailed answering. OK? Fine!
See you soon!

A great resource for scripters of any level is the scripts from the original game or other d-mods. Once you know your way around the editor and have basic understanding of how scripts work, you can learn a whole lot by reading other peoples' scripts.
Whenever you wonder "how do I..." just think of a place in the original game that did something like that and go see who it works.
Just something to keep in mind, I don't mean what you said isn't a good idea, it is.

Yes, I know about this. I look at Dink and SOB with WDE a lot, then I go and check the source. What I have in mind is a step by step guide, where everything is explained very in detail, but simple, like a handbook or manual that you could print and read as you work.
What I find especially hard is the scripting, wich I have just started to get into - learning all the commands and procedures and how they work together is really difficult.
I may ask you, or others, for specific spripts that are explained in detail, but I have to ponder a bit on what to ask for first...

He has, but he did't logged in the last few posts
Also, if you check the Board Main Page, these posts are called "Re: what about &...". Looks weird if you don't know why it is like that
Unfortunately, I know

Oh yes, I have an account, but sometimes I write from another machine than my own.

Have you tried The Rudiments of Scripting?

No, but I will! Don't know why I missed that... From what I can see from a glance at the reviews, it very well may be what I need right now. Thanks!

A brilliant file! I wish more of the stuff on this site could be like that!
...But hey, you can still log in even if you're using someone else's machine. Just remember to log out.
