Easy DinkC 2 - Bet you thought I had stopped working on it!
But I haven't. It's proceeding. I'm done with the base more or less, except for the configuration (preferences/options/settings, whichever you prefer), and I have started on what is gonna make this program deserve it's name, "easy".
If you haven't got a clue of what I'm talking about, take a look at my previous preview, or better yet, download the current, Easy DinkC 1.4 to see what difference this new version will really make.
The new preview can be found here. Comments are appreciated, if you have any.

this looks like it will be very handy indeed.
I knew you would do it, it's great!!
Hmm... now you already have map-reading code you in it. Are you gonna do a built-in map editor??? Allright I'll just shutup

Yeah, I thought you quit working on it too
Anyway, I see you've got some nice stuff in there with Inside_box() and such. I was wondering if you'd have a cutscene editor too now that you've got map-reading intact. You know, pick sprite from list, put it down, next keyframe, click, click, BAM BOOM BAM, cutscene ready

I don't think that this keyframe thing works well with the Dink engine.
They 'keyframes' would only be basic commands in DinkC scripts, I think.
Ah... so EDC pasts the move/creation/whatever code itself. I think I got it

Yes, the idea has occured to me, although your idea is way better than mine... I think I'll implement that.. yeah.
I was thinking (after applying your idea to mine) that you'd have something that looks like the "move/move stop" dialog I already use.. just that you can pick multiple directions and destinations (sort of like a path-system) and then I'll have EDC make that into move or move_stop commands (most likely the latter), and of course this'll be made possible with multiple sprites in the same "session", so you can move things around in.. um... a synchronized matter (however possible that is in Dink.

Yeah. I stop periodically. Like, next week, I have three tests, so I sorta don't have time for much else besides school right now, although I can't help checking this board once in a while. That's become something of a habit.
I know how it is (trust me), but everybody needs a little motivation/reminder.
