Actually, I have come across it before. Only once. I have tried finding it again, with no luck. Somebody ought to e-mail Seth Robinson about this. but i can't be bothered.
Is he talking about the walk-on-water thing where you go to the duck-fighting arena and where the seemingly-endless path reveals about 1500 gold?
No. There is a clipping glitch (walk through stuff) on a bridge there. (I'm not telling where). the name of the place you are talking about, merlin, is Koka isle.

I think every mapper knows where it is and how it can be accessed from looking at the map in DinkEdit.
I found it the first time I played Dink and I was excited about it too. Nothing special about it though, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be excited about it anymore

I've never been able to find it in Dinkedit. There is another large island you can go to just above windemere village. It's all abandoned stuff Seth coulden't be bothered to delete.
I believe the largish island was going to be where Port Town was, however due to time constraints it was never implemented. And considering Dinkedit doesn't have a delete screen command, deleting it wasn't too feasible either.

For example, you won't be able to get a potion if it hasn't been scripted to be a potion. In Dinkedit, you can even make a D-Mod, where you are a potion, or by editing Dink's mum in the beginning, you can turn her into a fireball. Looks pretty funny!
