LPs and DSPT.. seeking opinions.
Ok. For a while now I haven't been including enemy encounters in my Let's Plays. I also stopped doing the random freeze frames, where I zoom the video in and talk about some of the bosses on the fly, when I encounter them in the Dmod.
I've had a few people tell me to put these things back in my LPs, but I'm just not sure so I thought why not ask here and the people that actually watch my Let's Plays can decide. After all, you guys who watch my LP's are who I am making them for. I don't make them for any other reason, other than I enjoy providing the DN with something 'extra' for people to enjoy every now and then.
So I want you guys to let me know if you want these elements in the future videos or not, and also know that I am open to any suggestions you would like to see in the videos, as I'm sure the other members of DSPT are as well. After all, we really only make these videos for everyone here, so whatever you guys want to see, just let us know and we'll do our best.
If you have any ideas for other videos you want to see related to Dink or the Dink Network Community other than LPs, feel free to let us know as well - video ideas you think you will like, or even others will like. I'll certainly do my best to make them happen if possible.
Also, Leprochaun, I haven't forgot about your idea, I think it's a great idea and I'm getting around to it, just gotta wrap up these other joint LP's I've got going on. Was also wondering if you would want to be the first 'Author' to feature in your video idea?

I think the enemy encounters are fun and should definitely be there. When there's an LP of my own D-Mods, I love to see what crazy stuff the player has to say about my enemies and their balancing. If I'll ever make more DSPT let's plays, I'll most definitely be including enemy encounters.
But I'm kind of worried about the interest in DSPT LP's. First, the topic discussions died out, and now discussion in general seems to be dropping in the LP threads. Only LP in a long time that got any discussion was Malachi. Personally, I watch nearly every video uploaded on DSPT, but I think people might have gotten a bit overwhelmed at one point when there was a ton of LP's, which caused some loss of interest.
Btw, just something I'd like to add: I certainly hope the single-commentary LP's aren't a thing of the past. I love the joint commentary ones as much as the next guy, but the single-commentary ones are just as much fun too, in a different way.

No the single-commentary LP's will still continue. After I'm done with the current three joint-LPs I have in progress (two of which are done and haven't been fully uploaded yet, and one with MsDink, which hasn't gone any further than part 1 because of our busy schedules and things not lining up), I will make another single-commentary LP.

Personally I don't think I ever really used an enemy encounters system in my own LP videos, but I have stuck with mostly singleplayer commentary. The only issue with having just one person talking about the Dmod being played is that it's literally just the one persons voice being used, and conversation topics can get a bit dull at times (at least in my case; I have more fun when I'm chatting to someone about the experience).
Regarding if our esteemed Cookie Thieving Guildmaster should include EE's again? Maybe for specific bosses or new non-vanilla enemies, or perhaps as a separate video entirely as an experiment for all the normal enemies and then just including bosses in the actual LP episodes.

I don't think the enemy encounters are necessary. But personally I think they add a ton of fun.
The problem with single-commentary LP's indeed is that you can run low on conversation topics at times. However, with joint commentary, the player doesn't always get to say some of the fun things he wants to, and can't always react to stuff, because he's busy talking with another person. Joint commentaries also require a good chemistry between the two people, or the LP can end up quite dull. So it's kind of a win-win/loss-loss thing, which is why I'd like to see an equal amount of both styles.

I don't really mind the enemy encounters, but if you're just going to grind for like the whole video that's not very specific to that dmod.
However I do think you should do topic discussions for each dmod like you did for the original game's LP.
"Post your idea on what (or who) burned down Dink's house." - Those kind's of things.
For Malachi you could ask, "Why was dink in that bar located on the edge of a cliff?" Or something.
For Quel perhaps, "How were the humans-turned-pigs able to lock the doors on their houses?"
Stuff like that is really interesting. At least it is to me.
Regarding the video idea, I would like to do that. But I'm not sure what you'd like to do for it. If you PM me we can discuss the options and see which one would be best.

Hmmm.. yeh, I like the idea of a single topic discussion for the entire dmod, and just coming up with the most interesting unanswered question.. that allows the discussion to stay open as well, and if a specific question ends up really interesting with the answers given, it might even spawn a 'Dink Mysteries' from Skull, if he finds it mysterious enough.

I'll talk all day about CC2 if someone does an LP on that knowamasayingyeahuknowwahamasaying.
I was supposed to do an LP of CC2. Mostly cause I know that D-Mod better than the back of my hand. But other stuff got in the way.
i know this isn't real helpful but
just keep doin what ur doin cuz i love it

enemy encounters where fun but not needed. and loved 'm and boss encounter i enjoyed a lot more and bosses can give some more in-depth analysis as they tend to be tougher and love seeing different strategy's used against(or even better seeing players lose to 'm that aren't XD(might be better if a boss i made
)

Hmm.. I think I will put back enemy encounters, only for any unique enemies, and also bosses or differently scripted enemies that are interesting.
Also DSPT has been open for 5 years now. Can't believe it's been that long.
