A neat thing I found regarding graphics and spriting.
The site in which I found it.
The link I provided leads to an interesting site in which a person talks about graphics, spriting, and how to make them without them looking derpy.

Hey, I remember this site! I first saw it several years ago. I like the section on "Demystifying the greats".
I see a depressing amount of people today saying "those old games look terrible, it's just a bunch of blocks." It's worth breaking down how good artists can make things look like 3D objects with consistent light sources and so forth with just a few colors and a tiny resolution.

I know! Looking back at my earliest attempts at spriting, I had no idea wtf I was doing, I was just doing what I thought was the proper path to becoming a good sprite artist, but I was waaaay off.
Now, I'm going to challenge myself to make amazing graphics like those seen in the 'Demystifying the Greats' section.

This is very interesting stuff, thanks for the link

Haha wow.... Thanks for bringing this up, I haven't seen that webpage in years, since before the latest tutorials were added! It taught me a lot of what I know about spriting today. Now I have read them all.

Those are some of the most beautiful SNES games out there, good luck and if you can do it I wanna see!

Well, right now I'm working with 20x20 pixel sprites. (That specific dimensions because the new game engine I'm using, OHRRPGCE, requires your to hand-draw EVERYTHING before you can even being making the game proper. It all has to be in Bitmap format, which is a bit difficult without the right tools.)
When I fully finish my first useable walkaround sprite, I'll make sure to share it with you. (And hope that the quality doesn't go to crap because Deviantart is dumb as a potato.)
