Anyone finished Pilgrim's Quest WITHOUT upping Dink's stats?
I found I just couldn't beat the red pillbugs (about halfway through the game) and upped Dink's stats.
It's a great game and I'm almost finished.I just have to kill the final boss and get out of the mountain before it collapses. I am finding it so tough that I have it on hold for a couple of days. Even considering upping the stats again, just to finish it.
But rethinking that last line, I am not sure if ALL the stats are increased. I know strength and defense and magic are..but can't recall if the supposedly really useful ones (honour, agility and luck) are increased as well.
I did decrease his stats later but even so, monsters were just so difficult/impossible to beat.
Feel free to comment on other DMODs where you found you had to, out of necessity, increase Dink's stats.

I sort of remember going into the brothel a few times in order to get a super stat boost.

I'll let you know when I get there. So far, the only DMODs I've cheated in have been Labyrinth (in which I couldn't be bothered) and Legend of Smallwood (where it's the only way to reach the end).
Never needed to cheat in Pilgrim's Quest that I remember. But seeing how I played it during the betatesting phase I don't know if some values got changed for the final version.
