You think very highly about yourself, don't you?

Also, it's 'reckon', not 'recon'. 'recon' is short of reconnaissance, or scouting out an area to gain information on it.

Oh, I'm sorry, you weren't specific. I prefer aliens, mostly because of the primal fear that they have. (Not to mention Freud was Right.)

In any case, the Aliens have a great capacity for intelligence, being able to figure out ways of escaping and stalking its prey, not to mention that they are bred to kill.
The Predators are Proud-Warrior-Race guys, who hunt anything that has a challenge to it. There are cases when the Predators overcome the Aliens, sometimes with Human help, other times they are overtaken.

Sadly, the AvP franchise is considered non-canon.
aniel_large/AVP_films_are_non-canon">For those who don't believe me.
AvP is a good franchise that's fun to watch, however.

Have you heard of the Black super predators?

When I said primal fear, I meant the primal fear that they instill in the hearts of man, both for the being hunted aspect and the rape subtext. (Which is by design, even Ridley Scott points this out.)

No, I haven't. Mostly because I haven't seen the whole AvP series and likely never will because we can't find it.

The alien is without a doubt the more interesting and unique of the two; the predator is just a human wearing freaky makeup.

(Which is by design, even Ridley Scott points this out.)

You must be imagining things.

(Saw the deleted post. I think it was deleted because you called me an idiot for not having seen the movie/not knowing what that type of Predator was.)

Yeah, the Predator instills the primal fear of being prey, but that's all they got for them. The Alien (known as a Xenomorph) instills both the fear of being prey and the fear of being raped. For instance, the facehuggers look oddly like a woman's carolina, and the Xenomorphs have that phallic head.

Look at that, that's a twofer.

Yeah i know there are a bunch of dumb bast&rds arnt they.
Thats one of the reasons why i like Predator better you dont know what he would do to you if its a one of those normal ones which only attack things that have a chance of defending themselve(No small children or pregnant women) or one of those corrupt bloodthirsty ones that will hurt anybody regardless

Which one do you thick is more intimadating

I'd say Alien. Predator's one nasty guy too, but Alien is much more unearthly. It's so different and usually the things which we don't fully understand are the most scariest.

Which one do you think is more intelligent.

Predator. Aliens are just dumb, killer animals, whereas Predators are more like human.

Which one do you think is more scarier or CLOSER to being scarier atleast.

Tough call. Both are rather scary in their own right. If it was IRL, I'd hate to be trapped in a spaceship with Alien, but I'd also hate being chased by Predator in the jungle. So let's switch them around. If Predator was in the spaceship, I'd still hate to be chased by him, but if Alien was in the woods, I don't think it would be as badass anymore. So I'd say Predator.

Which one do you think is more unique

Alien, without a doubt. The design of the monster is amazing and very original. Nothing like that has really been matched to this day. There's nothing that unique about Predator. He has a monster face which he hides with a mask, he has blade weapons. He's just a tall guy. He reminds me pretty much of your typical slasher villain. The most unique thing about him I think are the amazing dreadlocks!

Which one do you overall recon is better

I always liked Predator more. Never quite liked or got into Alien that much. I think it has most to do with the movies themselves. I just think Alien as a movie is much less original than Predator, although neither one's that original.

Did you perchance last see the movies when you were a kid? That's the best way I can make sense of this opinion, since the absolute opposite is true, as far as I'm concerned. Especially the first Alien isn't really enjoyable for young people, since it's more about psychological horror than anything. Alien 2 (Aliens) is an action movie, but still on a high grade as far as being intelligent goes, very much so for a Hollywood blockbuster.

Predator, on the other hand, is little more than a dumb action movie - an enjoyable dumb action movie, but there's about as much depth to the movie as there is in a puddle on an asphalt road.

As for all the goddang sequels... Neither franchise has produced anything but varyingly stinky piles of poo since.

I saw Predator as a kid, and I saw Alien when I was older. Personally I didn't find the psychological horror in Alien that great, nor scary. Predator obviously wasn't scary either cause it's not really even a horror movie. I personally just enjoy the setting and style of Predator more, and the fact that it doesn't try too hard.

And it has Schwarzenegger! Can't argue with that jazz!

I Found those movies to be more thriller then horror.
Horror usually is just typical gore and no intelligence put in to it like slasher films.
