The food/drink thread
Its a fact people fizzy drinks have so much bad acids in them (No not good acids) bad acids its I remeber a person called Christian told that his uncle drink a ridolous amount of Coke his instestines failed and had to use a "poo bag"
Lots of soft drinks is definitely seriously bad for you. If you drink a little bit here and there it's not too bad, but water is still the best choice. Also, drinks like tea and juice tend to be much better for you than soda, although too much of them can cause problems too (but a healthy amount can do things like protect you from cancer).
That's why I make my own soda.
Almost anything can be dangerous if you take too much of it. Even water.
what kind of soda does the Kris make, and is he willings to shares its.
It's just carbonated water with pre-made syrups and homemade syrups. No High Fructose Corn Syrup or Aspartame.
Sucking soft drinks is painful. Not that I've tried it.
ThePunisher, you have an opinion other Dinkers agree with!
*opens an umbrella for the pig droppings*
Also water is better, but soda tastes better, and that's the important thing.

I guess Pun is right and Dinkulum you got it wrong, the Apocalypse com-es when other people agree with pun, pigs rain when skorn is right.
Also what is Aspartame
Also what is Aspartame
Soda is god awful for you, there is no debate there. Most fruit juices aren't even that good for you. I would also argue that milk isn't so great either. Water is clearly the best choice of drink.
what about Rain

Aspartame is a sweet chemical compound discovered by a chemist who was too dumb to live to wash his hands before eating.
It's also a potentially toxic chemical that, when heated, turns into the deadly chemical known as formaldehyde, which is used to preserve corpses.
Aspartame is found primarily in diet sodas. I do not trust diet sodas, as you never know if it was subjected to heat during creation and during delivery.
A good and healthier alternative to aspartame is Xylitol, or you could actually use real sugar.
Raw sugar is best, as it's not bleached and subjected to chemicals.

@spinner, who failed, me or rainmaker
@Kris, I won't ask about the form stuff since you described it, but what is Xylitol then, and I recall hearing on the news [which may of been false] that diet sodas are kind of bad since they mess with your body somehow.

Aspartame is absorbed into the body differently, I'm not entirely sure how, so I'll do research later.
Information on Xylitol can be found here.

ok, now we know, and knowing is half the battle!
IIRC, the original definition of a soft drink was "Not a hard drink" IE. Non-alcoholic.
By that definition, milk, water and other such drinks are also soft drinks.
As for soda, yes it's not as good for you as water, but nothing much else is. Stop your worrying and if you don't enjoy it, don't drink it.

so from what I understand from your post mega, the topic is kind of saying, water sucks water is better. Also can we all say cow juice instead of milk,or goat or any other animal you talk about.
Not if your thirsty.
Well see, thirst makes you delirious, so then you think water tastes good, but it's just a temporary delusion.

water tastes better then some drinks to me, I bet it tastes way better then urine as well.
Cows milk is for cows not humans - you should never feed your kids or grannies with that stuff... blow the you need calcium carry on they try to brainwash you with - how about third world countries where they dont get cows milk - their calcium levels are fine. I challenge you to drink and try and keep down a 2 litre bottle of milk ... is impossible - your stomach ie: humans tummy not a cows... cant handle it - its quite able to keep down 2 litres of water tho...
ps do NOT get me started on water fluoridation - (btw-fluoride is a mind control substance...) just sayin

Bah, you must be lactose intolerant! How does it feel to be left out of superawesome evolutionary win?!
Undisputable argument for Milk:
1. Milk comes from mammaries.
2. Water comes from metal pipes.
3. Therefore, Milk is superior.

I don't drink milk, and I'm perfectly healthy. (I'm not lactose intolerant, I just hate milk.)
@Scratcher: Water is found in milk, your argument is invalid.

Milk is something we've just gotten used to eating, like bread. Our species shouldn't be able to eat wheat, but we can when we turn it into a loaf...
I say eating because milk is in things we don't think about. I don't drink milk either, but ice cream, chocolate, pancakes, and lots of other things like that have milk in them. It's fine.

quick question, do leprochauns count as mammals or what? Also how is water found in milk, the chemical compound stuff? Also someone take Ms.Dink to the nap room and give her the pills, shes gone delirious again.
Oh, I don't know, maybe because cows drink water.
that completely passed my mind, and do leprocauns, dwarves and other mythical beings count as mammals?
Going by taxonomy and by dichotomy, faeries and elves would be mammalian, mermaids would be fish (Regardless of human body, fish tail or humanoid fish creature), manticores, minotaurs, and the like would also be mammalian, and dragons would be either reptillian or amphibian (Only for water/swamp dragons).
It all really depends on the physical characteristics.
It all really depends on the physical characteristics.
For mermaids, there is no clear definition of a fish (They contain vertebrates and invertebrates, along with other dipolar characteristics which make them difficult to classify in one group that doesn't cover other clearly separate groups.) where as there is for mammals. Mammals have mammary glands and generally give birth the live young (but not always, see platypus and echidna) and often have hair or fur for warmth due to warm blood. A mermaid has mammaries, and hair, and their blood temperature and birthing practices aren't generally agreed on. As such, mermaids are clearly fish-like mammals and not mammal-like fish. They would probably have evolved like whales and dolphins, but from humans.
The Dink Network: The only place a post about "soft drinks and water" leads to a discussion about "What the duck are mermaids, exactly?"
Awesome.
Awesome.

Rob is right, though it happens alot, thanks for the info you guys.
What is your thoughts on proccesed meat,
Too many preservatives I'd say.
Hard to get good tasting processed meats here in China. I have a few favorite/trusted brands. I like one brand's European style smoked ham. I am addicted to individually shrink wrapped chicken legs. I pass on the chicken feet lol.
Some bad brands are full of cereal or fat...but they are also in the west.
Bacon here is good, comparable to Aussie packeted bacon.
Turkey legs shrinkwrapped are not bad.
I don't buy the tinned pork (Spam) on the shelves. Some kabana are not bad with a beer.
But no Windsor, Strasbourg, or pastrami or exotic Euro meats.
Cheese is a whole other story. Trying to find mozzarella is difficult. I'll have to figure out how to buy online I think.

I don't really care for processed meats, I don't think I have eaten anything really natural except my grandpa's dead chicken's eggs. Though I wonder how fresh bacon tastes like. What is everyone's opinion on processed bacon?
