I always notice the quotes at the bottom of every page on the DN[as I have been on so far] and wondered does anyone still update the quote thing with new quotes, and if so who does it? On another note why is there a limit to what we can have for our tags, I wanted to make it slightly bigger.

Edit: If anyone has Sims Medieval and doesn't want it anymore I'm willing to take it off your hands.

Even if they do,not everything can be quoted (as far as I understand).
You have to say something "quotable" and hope for the best. That shouldn't be much of a problem,since most quotes are just some crazy sh*t/regular DN speech (pretty much the same).

I wouldn't count Tal and ReDink as "Top Men" since they don't do great as jobs as web masteress and master.

As for being one of the top men? Nah. I coulda been a contender, but things were not to be. I'm pretty lazy and after years of not being able to do much but news 'n' moderation, I lost interest in the staffing side of things.

I don't think some of you know how lucky you are to have some of the other staff on board!

The kid show reference is WordGirl, the station was the "best" choice from what my dad got, he is still working with the antenna and trying to get even more channels, and how are we lucky to have some of the staff, it seems like they don't do their job fast enough like the poll, or show up to stop the cookie muggings.

I'm pretty sure Word Girl is a very recent one, and the one being referenced is older.

Most of the staff have been here for 10 years. They don't get paid for doing what they do, nor do they get much in the way of credit. They never have done. Given that the site is severely lacking in activity, I think we should all be grateful to the staff members that do still make the effort to change the poll, validate reviews, upload files, etc etc.

They've given a lot to this community and most of the stuff people moan about is out of their hands.

Appreciate what you've got. You never know when it might be gone!

We might be able to live in a staffless place, but it take a while to get used to it. Also they could leave a name mark on what they do then they might get more credit. And in ten years the staff have literally been dying off, If Red or Tal made a kind of new webmaster title for someone a lot of stuff would get done.

If I were given control of the site, I'd give all of the staff the power to ban and whatnot.
Hell, I'd give the place a revamp while keeping all of the files.

Dack, there is always a hierarchy with staff. There's the webmaster, the supermods, the regular mods, and the members. The top two typically deal with banning and the like, whilst the regular mods have to do the general watching over of the forums to make sure no rule-breaking goes on.

It's starting to get to the point where you can, to some new members, say you've been Dinking longer than they've been ALIVE. That's kind of a scary thought!
