Somebody poisoned the water...
someone came last night
and took my soul
and caught
my breath on fire
while i stood watching
from the window outside
the light from the darkness
stepped into the nightmare
on elm street, it
doesn't compare
because it didn't have
even have the fright so
i reached around the corner
to see what was there
and i saw the beast,
walking down the stairs...
waiting, for this dream to end
been waiting for the freak show
to be over again
calling, out my name again
you don't believe me
you don't understand
somebody posed as a martyr...
someone came last night
and cursed your life and then
it was due time while
i sat watching
from the clouds in the sky and
obscurity of spirits were
brought into the nightmare
that
i had last night but
i wasn't even there, i
stepped out of my mind so
i looked
back to the stairway,
to see who was there and
i saw the stream of blood,
dripping down the stairs...
waiting, to take breath again
been waiting for these nightmares
to wash away again
falling, out of place again
there will be so many
things left unexplained
waiting, for this dream to end
been waiting for the ocean
to drift my body again
calling, out my name again
i know that there is someone
who wants to do it again
popping, all the pills again
i wish that you could only
see it again
falling, out of place again
there will be so many
things left unexplained

this is what i do when i'm not playing dink. i write poetry/lyrics/music. this poem is called "Delirious". i've written hundreds of others, but this is probably my favorite one, and i just wanted to share it. maybe someone will be inspired by this...maybe this song will become a dmod
. if anyone has any poetry or lyrics they've written that they'd like to share, here would be a nice place to do it

please tell me why you write poems about Jesus if you don't love Him
please tell me why you take away everything if you don't know me
how do you even know what love is if you don't even love me?
step back and watch the world pass by you if you can't find a reason
look back at the lies that you've been living through but i can't seem to get you
feel free to leave everything and not finish what you started
i won't force myself to stop if you don't even love me
please tell me why you look for Jesus if you don't even love Him
please tell me why you crucify yourself for no good reason
and if you become famous, do you think that you'll still know me?
you know it hurts me on the inside so stop me from eternal bleeding
please tell me why you write poems about Jesus if you don't know Him
please tell me why you write poems about Jesus if you don't love Him
why do you want to hurt me if you don't even know me?
how do you even know what love is if you don't even love me?

he come to town
come to save
the @$$hole Milder!
Seth took him away
and now the children don't play
but they will
when dink save the day!
now dink,
find the bow lore
so you can shoot
your bow and arrows
and when you're feeling all down
the healer will come around
til' you be brave and
not a sissy <insert two-syllable n00b's name here, KI seems to be appropriate >
now Dink
has saved the day
he put Seth
in his grave!
even though Milder is dead
you know Dink's still ahead,
and Dink, i think your name will go down in history!

I had a poem published in a book about 10 years ago. But it's rubbish...though I think it's abstract nature gives it a unique charm...something like that.
